Just heared the very sad news that Barrie Rickards has passed away.

Barrie was a true gentleman, and legend of the specialist angling movement. I had the good fortune to meet Barrie last year and enjoyed the tales of his angling over dinner.

Rest in peace Barrie you will be sadly missed.

Very sad news to read, I have always tried to read what Barrie had wrote. A deep thinking angler.
A truly Great loss to angling.
My best wishes to his family.

Very sad to hear this news.

I wrote to him many years ago when I first started piking.

He wrote me a lovely letter back. What a gent.

He will be sadly missed.
