This year I have decided to return to Pike fishing. I really fancy trying to catch a pike from the River Wye. My best pike is 12lb 6 ozs caught from the R.Wye at Monmouth on a deadbait. I have purchased some 30lb wire and I am looking forward to my first session in October. I have to work this coming weekend but it will give me a bit more time to sort out and tie a few rigs ready for the session.
I keep you informed how I get on. Tight lines everyone.
Its a beautiful river is the Wye all along that valley is stunning i drove up there to fish for pike at symonds yat but is was in flood and i ended up on the chedder resevoir blanked then the huntspill blanked again ( over two days) I,ll have too make the effort and try the Wye again later in the year
