Following the recent pollution of the upper Trent after an earlier pollution resulted in a paltry fine a petition has been set up calling for stiffer penalties for polluters.

Been on the river Trent and the trent and mersey canal on a mates canal boat since last weekend. We travelled from Sawley marina via Willington and on to Burton on Trent and saw just 2 dead pike floating on the surface (coincidentley downstream of a match). So hopefully my stretch has not been affected so badly. Don,t make it any better though. Nail em.
