A number of NAC members attended the Fish-in and Proper Welsh welcome was prepared for them, Heavy Rian, High winds, Hail, a bit of snow ?
Still they had a good time and the banter flowed between the members.
A few good eels were also caught and returned back to the water. Well Done to all.
A more detailed report will be on thier website www.nationalanguillaclub.co.uk and the full report of the fish in will be printed in the club`s magazine of which you must be a member to recieve
To join check out thier website on the above addy.

Kevin's description of the Welsh welcome is spot on, and was compounded by Nick Rose and hIs considerable meteorological skills. I arrived a day early, and spent the thursday night huddled in my bivvy expecting at any moment to be blown away across the dock, and driven mad by run after run from eels that were small enough to have just arrived from the Sargasso. When Nick arrived on friday he told me that the forecast was for two hours rain on friday night, and it wouldn't be too bad. There ensued a most foul night of high winds, continuous heavy rain and , of all things, hail in the morning. I should have realised what was about to happen when Nick chose the most sheltered swim on the venue! Despite all this, still a most enjoyable excursion.
