Tight lines malc. I've not fished coniston at all, but stopped and looked it as a potential water a few times in the past. Have fished a few other waters in the lakes for eels though.

just got back no eels but a sceaming run resulted in a 5ib 2oz sea trout,would you believe it on mackeral.

Me and a few mates have been known to have a bit of fun and a few beers on southend pier fishing for garfish using fresh mackerel strip and have caught a few sea trout among many other species..It's a very good bait for a lot of species.
