I watched autumnwatch last night and the theme was migration. Well birds anyway. So i have posted a discussion/thread on their message board regarding the Eel - The forgotten migration. With a bit of luck a few people will read it . will keep adding to it as more people reply. Hopefully a few questions will be asked. so have a look and see what people are saying. Who knows it might raise the profile a bit.

Saint Salt did a brilliant piece on talk sport a while ago... he'd be ideal ideal for a slot on the Beeb...

(got a face for radio though!

eels will never get the same amount of coverage as animals that have feathers and fur

No because the Beeb are in with the bird fascists and bunny huggers.

Jono, Thats why i posted, for everyone to ignore the most at risk vertebrate in the country is a joke in my opinion. Its about time all these so called wildlife conservationists looked at the bigger picture and try and do something about animals that actually need help and not the ones that look nice and cute.
Its the same in the fisheries world, Eels are at the bottom of the pile whereas Salmon etc get all the funding, research and help. Its up to us to fight the cause for the Eel cos no-one else will.

Posted another thread, Eels need help NOW.
I thought with the programme going out tonight someone might read it, as they have researchers checking the board.
