A lovely fish of 6lb 10oz in the Angling Times this week. Caught from Savay, and by design as well which is nice!! The guy also had a 4lb 6oz and a 5 in the same session. He's also apparently got a PB of 7lb 12oz, the swine!!!!

Sorry Malc, the PB 7lb 12oz didn't come in this session, but still, the 4, 5 and 6 is a pretty good session!!!!
Don't know if the guy has been a NAC member in the past, I think his name's Brian Hankins.

Thats gotta be the same Brian that fished with Rod Hutchinson years back for Carp. I thought he was still dabbling on Savay.

Cracking catch and bigger will come i'm sure of it.

Yeah, he's from rod hutchinsons neck of the woods too. You're right about bigger to come. As you know only too well warren, any of those colne valley waters can throw up a whacker! I used to walk along the canal towpath, staring through at savay, when I lived in Uxbridge, and it looks eely as hell, again, as most of the waters round there do!

Yea Brian used to work in Hutchy's shop many years ago. You could say that they're no longer friends though...
